1) DATA CONTROLLER

Pursuant to Art. 4 of the GDPR, the Data Controller is:

SAIT Società Adriatica Investimenti Turistici S.r.l. – Via Vettor Pisani 56 – 30013 Cavallino Treporti (Italy)

Controller’s email address:  privacy.sait@vacanze-natura.it

2) WHAT IS A COOKIE?

Cookies are text files containing small pieces of information that are stored on the User’s device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when visiting a website. Cookies allow the site to “remember” the User’s computer, but not specifically who is using it, and to provide a more pleasant browsing experience.

3) FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO WE USE COOKIES?

Cookies are generally used for various purposes, such as efficiently navigating between website pages, applying User preferences, and, more generally, improving the browsing experience by personalizing the site based on the User’s browsing habits. It is possible to block or delete cookies; however, in this case, some functions of the site may not work or may not function correctly.

Information regarding cookies is not used to identify Users, and browsing data always remains under our control. These cookies are used exclusively for the purposes described herein.

4) WHICH COOKIES DO WE USE?

A – First-Party Cookies

The SAIT website uses the following types of first-party cookies:

  • Technical cookies

These are cookies essential for navigating the Site as they enable core functions such as authentication, validation, and session management. They allow, for example, the identification of whether the User has properly accessed areas of the Site requiring prior authentication or User validation, the management of sessions related to various services and applications, or the storage of data for secure access.

In the absence of such cookies, the Site or certain portions of it may not function correctly. Therefore, they are always used and sent unless the User changes their browser settings, thus affecting the display of the Site pages.

  • Analytical cookies

These cookies are used for the statistical analysis of accesses and visits to the Site. They pursue exclusively statistical purposes (and not profiling or marketing) and collect information in an aggregated form, without it being possible to trace the identification of the individual User. These cookies, while not identifying the User, allow, for example, the detection of whether the same User connects to the Site at different times. They also allow for system monitoring and the improvement of performance and usability. Deactivation of these cookies can be performed without any loss of functionality.

This Site uses Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect and analyze information on Site usage behavior in an anonymous form (including the User’s IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it to compile reports regarding activities taking place on the website. This Site does not use, and does not allow third parties to use, Google’s analysis tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google, nor does it attempt to link an IP address with a user’s identity. Google may also communicate this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the aforementioned information on Google’s behalf.

Users are invited to review the Google Analytics Privacy Policy. Users can selectively disable Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser.

  • Profiling cookies

These are permanent cookies used to identify User preferences and to analyze User behavior on the Site for marketing purposes.

This Site uses third-party cookies to study and improve advertising through remarketing actions, in order to send the user messages in line with their interests. These are online advertising services that allow for the placement of advertising spaces within the web pages visited by the user and which, through the use of certain algorithms, select which ads to show based on the User’s purposes. These cookies do not collect or monitor information capable of personally identifying the User.

By providing consent for the operation of profiling cookies, the data subject expressly authorizes processing for marketing purposes. Consent is optional and can be revoked without formality. Failure to provide consent will make it impossible to proceed with the processing of such data for marketing purposes. In the event of refusal of consent, there will be no interference and/or consequence regarding the ability to access the Site.

Users are invited to review the information notices of Google Adwords, Doubleclick, and Facebook.

B – Third-party cookies

While browsing the Site, the User may also receive cookies from different sites or web servers (so-called “third-party” cookies) on their terminal: this happens because the Site may contain elements—such as images, maps, sounds, or specific links to web pages of other domains—that reside on servers other than the one where the requested page is located. In other words, these cookies are set directly by website operators or servers other than this Site.

These cookies can be sent to the user’s browser by third-party companies directly from their website, which can be accessed by browsing from this Site. In such cases, the Company is not involved in the operation of these cookies, the sending of which is the responsibility of these third-party companies.

In accordance with current legislation, the user can provide consent and modify preferences at any time regarding the use of these cookies through specific browser configurations and computer programs or devices that are easy and clear for the User to use. The User also has the option to disable cookies from the browser at any time, although this operation may prevent the User from using some parts of the Site. In any case, the deactivation of “third-party” cookies does not affect navigability in any way.

The SAIT website uses the following types of third-party cookies:

  • Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a web analytics tool for managing tags within websites, such as Google Analytics scripts (for statistics), remarketing code for Google Adwords, and many others. With Google Tag Manager, a single code (script) is inserted into the web pages of the site, with the possibility to add/modify/delete tags directly through the intuitive web interface provided.

  • Google Maps

Google Maps provides interactive maps that allow editorial operators to include customizable interactive maps within their web pages. This Site may use Google Maps to provide detailed information on the location of the Company’s headquarters or a specific business.

  • Social plugins

“Social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Digg, and others may be present on this Site. These are portions of the visited page generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the Site’s page. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks.

The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by third parties is governed by the relevant information notices, which we ask you to refer to.

  • Other third-party websites and services

This Site might also contain links to other websites that have their own Privacy Policy—to which you should refer—which may be different from the one adopted by the Company, which, therefore, is not responsible for third-party sites.

5) HOW CAN COOKIE PREFERENCES BE MANAGED?

The User can manage cookie preferences directly within their browser. Furthermore, through browser preferences, the User can delete cookies installed in the past, including the cookie in which consent for the installation of cookies by this Site may have been saved. If this option is chosen, however, it is possible that some services or certain functions may not be available.

With reference to cookies installed by third parties, the User can also manage their settings and revoke consent by using the tools described in the third party’s Privacy Policy or by contacting the third party directly.

Given the objective complexity of identifying technologies based on cookies, the User is invited to contact the Controller should they wish to receive any further details regarding the use of cookies via this site.
