Discover the Veneto hinterland, from the sea to the hills

Although located on the Cavallino Treporti coast, our strategic position opens the way to a hinterland rich in history, natural beauty, and culture. Just a few kilometres inland lies the Marca Trevigiana, the historic ‘Garden of Venice’, where rural landscapes, vineyard-covered hillsides, and cities of art have been shaped by Venetian tradition for centuries. Among rolling hills and village lanes, you can follow itineraries that weave together art, nature, and authentic local flavours.

Prosecco Hills and historic villages

Head inland to the hills of Conegliano, Valdobbiadene, and Asolo, the heart of Prosecco DOCG production and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019, recognised for its unique cultural landscape. The Prosecco Hills Trail, a 51-kilometre route linking Vidor to Vittorio Veneto over four stages, winds through vineyards, charming villages, and sweeping views.

Among the stops worth discovering:

  • Cison di Valmarino, a medieval village set among the hills and dominated by the impressive Castelbrando.
  • The Muro di Ca’ del Poggio, a legendary climb for cyclists and a symbol of the Prosecco hills, with a demanding gradient that challenges even experienced riders.
  • Treviso, an elegant city crossed by canals and ancient walls, known for its lively squares, careful restorations, and vibrant cultural life.

Art, tradition, and Veneto towns

The Veneto hinterland also offers a rich artistic and cultural scene, ideal for those who enjoy unhurried walks through museums, churches, and historic centres.

  • In Conegliano, the Palazzo Sarcinelli Art Gallery hosts modern and contemporary exhibitions in the heart of the old town.
  • In the province of Treviso, the museum scene is varied and dynamic, with temporary exhibitions, cultural events, and itineraries linked to contemporary Venetian art.
    • The proximity of towns such as Castelfranco Veneto, Oderzo, and Portobuffolè makes it easy to plan short excursions to discover medieval villages, frescoes, historic buildings, and local traditions.
